Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) is an agency of the Holy See founded in 1926 to assist the churches and peoples of the Middle East, Northeast Africa, India and Eastern Europe.

CNEWA's offices in Canada and the United States have been raising funds and, through its bimonthly magazine ONE, raising consciousness of the plight of Iraq's Christian refugees. CNEWA's operating agency in the Middle East, the Pontifical Mission, is actively engaged in providing support to refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria and is also providing support to apostolates of the church (Catholic and non-Catholic) in Iraq.
